Born in Beijing, China, Li Li is an aspiring designer. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from Qingdao University of Technology (QUT). A current graduate student at M.S.AAD, Li Li will graduate from the Columbia University in May of 2025.
Li Li's desire to design for people or places in conflict. Conflict is not always hostile, but it serves as a signal to raise people's awareness of a particular tension, and is required for forward progress.
Designing for people or places in conflict required a keen awareness of site issues. The better the understanding of the local and current situation, the easier it is for architect to let go of the obsession and prejudice. And then, the design could meet local needs better, avoid waste, and develop sustainably.
